Stefan Bachmann

Only 19 years of age, Stefan Bachmann is a prodigy. He attends the Zurich Conservatory where he is studying composition. As well as writing novels and writing music, he plays the organ, piano, violin, recorder, and harmonica. The Peculiar is his debut novel, and he has composed music to accompany it.

L. Frank Baum

Lyman Frank Baum (1856–1919) was an American children’s book author, best known for The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. He wrote thirteen novel sequels, nine other fantasy novels, and several other works (55 novels in total, plus four “lost” novels, 83 short stories, over 200 poems, an unknown number of scripts, and many miscellaneous writings).

Ray Bradbury

Ray Bradbury (22 August 1920 – 5 June 2012) published some 500 short stories, novels, plays and poems since his first story appeared in Weird Tales when he was twenty years old. Among his many famous works are ‘Fahrenheit 451,’ ‘The Illustrated Man,’ and ‘The Martian Chronicles.’

Enid Blyton

Enid Blyton was born in 1897. She is the author of over 700 books for children and creator of a host of legendary characters, including ‘The Famous Five, The Secret Seven’ and, most famously, ‘Noddy’, Big Ears’ and the other inhabitants of Toyland.
