Trish Cooke

Trish Cooke has written seventeen books for children including So Much, which won the Kurt Maschler Award, the Nestle Smarties Book Prize and the She/WH Smith’s Under Fives Book Prize. She was a presenter on the BBC’s children’s television programme Playdays for eight years. She has acted in and written plays for theatre, radio and television, both for children and adults.

Trish lives in Bingley, West Yorkshire.

Carroll

Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, aka Lewis Carroll (1832–1898), was an English writer, mathematician, logician, deacon and photographer. He is most famous for his timeless classics, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. His work falls within the genre of ‘literary nonsense’, and he is renowned for his use of word play and imagination. Carroll’s work has been enjoyed by many generations across the globe.

Sophie Cleverly

Born in Bath, Sophie has a BA in Creative Writing and MA in Writing for Young People from Bath Spa University. Her debut series, Scarlet and Ivy was reviewed as “A true page-turning, nail-biting mystery” by The Guardian Children’s Reviews. Now working as a full-time writer, Sophie lives with her husband and daughter in Wiltshire.

Rowan Coleman

Rowan Coleman has been writing books for adults and children since 2002 when she won Company Magazine’s ‘Young Writer of the Year.’ Her books for adults include The Times Bestsellers The Accidental Mother and The Baby Group. Rowan is currently writing the Ruby Parker series for girls, featuring child star Ruby Parker who is just like any other thirteen-year-old girl – except she is famous. Rowan lives in Hertfordshire with her husband, young daughter and a standard poodle called Polly.

Lisa Clark

Lisa Clark is an author, editorial director of lolasland.com, freelance writer, youth market consultant and Mizz life coach.

Lisa currently lives in a pink palace by the sea, where she watches romantic comedies and eats chocolate cake. A lot.

Wendy Cooling

Wendy Cooling has been a teacher, Head of Children’s Book Foundation and is now well-known as a freelance children’s book consultant and anthologist.

Harriet Castor

Since having her first book accepted for publication at the age of twelve, Harriet Castor has written over forty fiction and non-fiction books for children and young adults. She has a History degree from Cambridge University and has worked at The Royal Ballet as a dance notator. Now she writes full time.

Emma Chichester Clark

Emma Chichester Clark studied art at the Royal College of Art. She has worked as a freelancer for magazines, publishers and advertising agencies as well as teaching art for several years, but now dedicates most of her time to children’s books. She was nominated for the Kurt Maschler Award for Illustration twice and ‘I Love You, Blue Kangaroo!’, was shortlisted for the Kate Greenaway Medal.

Andy Cutbill

Andy Cutbill was born near London in 1972. He read Art at university and then did post-graduate studies in Art Direction. After several years creating television commercials, he started writing children’s animation and picture books. In conjuction with Cosgrove Hall Films, Andy created and developed the award-winning animated television series, Albie, for CITV. Andy lives on Dartmoor in Devon with his wife, son and daughter.
