Nancy Yi Fan was born in 1993 in Beijing, China. She moved to New York with her parents when she was seven years old and graduated with excellence from US elementary school in 2004. She now lives on the beautiful Hainan Island, China’s most southerly province, with her parents and her three pet birds. When she’s not writing, Nancy loves bird-watching, kung fu sword-playing, and reading. Her favourite place in the world is the library.

Jackie French was born in Sydney in 1953, grew up in Brisbane, graduated from the University of Queensland and moved to her present home in NSW bush land in her mid twenties. Over the past 10 years she has published over a hundred books on diverse subjects ranging from children’s fiction to pest control!
