Jill Barklem was born in Epping in 1951. After an accident when she was thirteen, Jill was unable to take part in PE or games at school and instead developed her talent for drawing and art. On leaving school, she studied illustration at St Martin’s in London before creating the enchanting world of Brambly Hedge. Jill lives in Epping, Essex.

He is best known as creator of the Emmy-Award-winning animated TV series Bing currently screening in over 80 countries. His work ranges from cult picture books to large-scale steampunk exhibition pieces and fiery public art installations. His work centres around the theme of celebrating young people’s imagination, and how adults can apply their imagination to work and life. He lives in London.
