Susan Juby

Susan Juby grew up in Smithers, B.C. and had a brief and not-very illustrious career as a fashion design student. After working a variety of low-paying, low-prestige jobs such as record store employee, restaurant server and housekeeper, she completed a B.A. in English literature and, after working as an editor for several years, a Master of Publishing degree.

I’m Alice(I Think) was nominated for the Amazon/Books In Canada First Novel Award and for the Canadian Library Association Best Young Adult Novel Award. It was named a Best Book for Young Adults by the American Library Association and chosen as an Amazon.com Top Ten Teen Book and as a Kirkus Editors’ Choice. I’m Alice (I Think), the first book in a projected trilogy, has spent over 31 weeks on the Canadian bestseller list. It is being published in the U.S., Canada, Australia, the U.K. and Finland. The Alice books have been optioned for a television series by Slanted Wheel Entertainment.

Susan and her husband, James, live on Vancouver Island with their dog, who prefers to remain anonymous.
